London, the third densely populated city of the world... I was here on the 2nd visit, along with the Singaporean Malaysian Society. The main thing I learn out of this trip is the underground interconnection... a bit complicated at first, but now I think I wont get lost next time when I am to use the Tube. This trip I managed to catch a glimpse on the guard change near the parliment house which happens everyday at 11 am. Reached hostel at about 10 pm...

This trip took place in BATH, another ancient heritage site of Britain. I suppose it got its name from the Roman Baths built by the romans in medieval times. This is where they come to clean themselves as well as for socialization. There are a number of steam rooms and spa surrounding this main pool. Apart from this, they have this PUMP room where they used to get prescription of spa water believed to have healing power. We were given a cup to drink at the end of the tour... It tasted really bad... like someone who has got a bad breath. Bath ia a small town indeed, as there are not many places to visit, rather just some typical British buildings and cathedral. We had a fun time and returned to Southampton for a late dinner.

A day trip in Southampton with Friends international. Met 2 other Malaysians ... and lots of people from other countries. Shown here is a picture I took at the bargate. We even came across the original site for the University of Southampton, which was founded by Henry Robinson Hartley. Thus the Hartley Library we have today in the Highfield Campus.

Yesterday was the 3-month anniversary of the London Blast. Yet we have decided to pay her a visit today assumming that we wont have much time once the term starts on Monday. So, here I am, standing beside the Big Ben. Other destinations we have visited during this trip includes the London Eye, palace, beautiful parks, art gallery, famous shopping mall, China town and even pass by the red light district. We are in a group of 8 where 3 of them are my coursemates while others are studying management courses.

Took a stroll at the park and along the seaside of Southampton. Nothing much still, waiting for the class to start. Seen here is the monument built in memory of those engineers of 'Titanic' who dedicated last minutes of their lives in the engine room trying everthing they can to put the gigantic ship afloat as long as possible for evacuation. Long live Engineers!! The right picture is taken at the dock gate, part of Southampton reclaimed land for docking purposes. There are ferry services to Isle of Wight and New Forest.

Wow!! another terrific cathedral, the Salisbury Cathedral. It stands taller than Winchester Cathedral, moreover its interior is just enormous! It has been a house of prayer and a place for pilgrimage for 750 years!

The other place we visited today is the Stonehenge... A world heritage site. Stonehenge is the centre of one of the world's earliest cultures. I was rather impressed by its Audio Guide - where each visitor is provided with a handset for self-guided tour around the site.

Today's journey - Winchester. A place not far from southampton.. This is the most remarkable landmark in Winchester; i.e. the Winchester Cathedral.
A place of worship for over 900 years! It is well known for its hidden treasures as it is for its spectacular architecture. This is my first trip out of Southampton, next stop .. Stonehenge + Salisbury!!

The first thing we do after arriving is to buy some daily necessities, we stop by one of the monuments which often seen scattered around the city built in memory of those who perished along with the Titanic. Titanic departed from Southampton before its mishap soon after.

HERE at last!!! the University of Southampton....
this road(left picture) leads to one of my schools' building. The other buildings are located to the left across the road. The picture on the right would be my hostel, Montefiore at Wessex Lane. It looks marvellous though the room can be a bit small. I now live with 2 britons and a girl from china, there should be more moving in next week.
